so i watched zeitgeist this morning before school and it was an interesting way of starting off my day. when something like this movie is put in front of you, contradicting every truth youve been taught since day one, its hard to make the choice between believing it or not. whos to say what you have been taught is false? hasnt it always been what is true? if so many believe it, how could it be wrong.
the things we are taught more often than not from childhood is religion and the sanctity of the USA. both are always right whether youve seen the proof right in front of you. youll never infiltrate the white house and the presidents discussions, and you might not ever see, or talk to jesus. But its all true. every passage in the bible, and every speech given to the american public is nothing but the whole truth. in a world that needs proof for everything, why dont we as americans need that kind of proof? maybe our proof is the years of following and worship.
its hard to pick what you believe in and what you opose when it comes to these two things, and ive found that its just sometimes hard to believe these kind of things. its like finding out your close friend happens to be a maniac or something. youre so sure of yourself that its just a big kick in the face. but i dont think its negative. of course its a shock, but do you want to keep being friends with a maniac?
